Training Requirements for Senior Security Officer
What is a Senior Security Officer (SSO)
A Senior Security Officer (SSO) is the second rank in the 5-ladder Security Progressive Wage Model (PWM).
Job Duties
- Operate security and safety systems
- Regulate traffic (Road Traffic Act)
- Monitor security or fire command centre
- Assist ministries, statutory boards or government departments in law enforcement duties
- Key press management
The following requirements have to be met to become a SSO:
Years-in-Grade (YIG) Requirement
A security officer (SO) will need to have at least 6 months experience as an SO to meet the YIG requirement.
