Perform Remote Surveillance Function (PRSF) course will impart the knowledge and skills for individuals to perform security surveillance duties at any assigned workplace. This is one of the mandatory course required for individual to promote to Security Progressive Wage Model (PWM) grade of Senior Security Officer under Police Licensing and Regulatory Department (PLRD).
Course Objectives By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
Operate remote security surveillance equipment
Identify security incident-prone areas within client’s premise
Monitor suspicious activity from remote security surveillance equipment
Respond to security incident upon detection from remote security surveillance equipment

Entry Requirements
Currently working in the security industry and currently performing a role of a security officer or higher position
A Singaporean or Singapore PR of at least 18 years of age
Good Interpersonal Skills
At least secondary school education
Listen and Speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills WSQ (ES WSQ) Level 4
Read and Write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills WSQ (ES WSQ) Level 4
Manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills(ES WSQ) Level 4
*Those that do not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance. Learners should also be able to read a computer monitor and see at a distance and possess basic skills in operating a computer
Course Duration and Timings 16 training hours (2 days) 0900hrs to 1800hrs daily Assessment by POLWEL – 3rd day (1.5 hours)
