Recognise Terrorist Threats (SE-SO-104C-1)

Overview

This unit is developed to equip the learners with the skills and knowledge to recognise and deal with various terrorist threats. By 1 Jan 2020, this module will be mandatory module for licensing as required by Police Licensing & Regulatory Department (PLRD) of the Singapore Police Force

Learning Outcomes

  • Describe contemporary terrorist threats
  • Identify person-borne threats
  • Identify vehicle-borne threats
  • Identify object-based threats

Entry Requirements

  • English Education – ES WSQ Level 4 / Primary School Education or
  • Communication Skills – Able to read, write and speak English at ESS WPLN Level 4

* Those who do not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance.

Certification: WSQ Statement of Attainment issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)

Course Duration and Timings

2 days (16 training hours), 0900 to 1800hrs daily
Summative Assessment by POLWEL – 3rd day (2 hours)

Dress Code: Smart attire (collared shirt & pants / uniform) with proper covered shoes.
