Manage Security Operations is one of the recommended WSQ Diploma for Security modules for Chief Security Officers (CSO). This module revolves around the key skill in managing security operations – conducting security audits. The course equips security personnel at managerial level with the knowledge and skills to prepare for security audit, conduct security audit, confirm security requirements, coordinate and monitor security operations and review and report status of security operations.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Analyse rationales behind conduct of audits
• Define audit objectives accurately
• Identify constraints impacting audits
• Identify interests of regulatory bodies and other parties
• Conduct audits accurately to cover all physical characteristics, environmental factors and existing security arrangements of premises
• Identify and assess security and other risks against audit objectives accurately
• Document audit objectives, outcomes and recommendations

Security Supervisors with Full Advance Certificate, Security Agency Managers, Security Operations Managers, Chief Security Officers, Security Executives

Entry Requirements (must have one of the following):

• GCE N pass in English or equivalent (NTC 2, NITEC, SPM pass English); or
• Attained WPLN Level 4 or equivalent; or
• Attained Advanced Certificate in Security; or
• At least 2 years working as a Security Supervisor

* Those who do not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance.

Course Duration and Timings:

39.5 training hours (5 days) 0900hrs to 1800hrs daily
Summative Assessment by POLWEL – 3 weeks after course date (1.5 hours)
Interview by POLWEL – 1 week after written assessment (1 hour)
*All learners must attain an assessment outcome of ‘Competent’ to complete the course.
