Security Risk Analysis (Conduct Security Survey)

Conduct Security Survey equips trainees with the skills to conduct security risk analysis. This process is essential as it is the systematic approach to assess if the initial survey has indeed met with its objectives. This operation also helps to identify other problems that may have not have surfaced during the initial survey.

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Analyse and understand client requirements, and rationale for conduct of Survey
  • Seek confirmation from client concerning survey requirements, implications and objectives
  • Accurately define survey objectives
  • Identify any constraints impacting on the survey
  • Prepare and present survey plan in accordance with established organizational procedures
  • Identify the interests of regulatory bodies and other parties
  • Maintain confidentiality of information at all times

For whom:

Security Supervisors with Full Advance Certificate, Security Agency Managers, Security Operations Managers, Chief Security Officers, Security Executives

Course Duration and Timings:

  • 26 training hours (3 days), 0900hrs to 1800hrs
  • Summative Assessment by POLWEL – 3 weeks after course date (2 hours)
  • Interview by POLWEL – 1 week after written assessment (1 hour)

Entry Requirements (must have one of the following):

  • GCE N pass in English or equivalent (NTC 2, NITEC, SPM pass English); or
  • Attained WPLN Level 7; or
  • Attained Advanced Certificate in Security Supervision (7 modules); or
  • At least 3 years working as a Security Supervisor (with Supervise Security Officer SOA)

* Those who do not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance.
