Security Screening Management (Conduct Security Screening of Person and Bag)

Conduct Security Screening of Person and Bag (CSSPB) course equips the learners with the knowledge and skills to conduct security search of persons and bags. The course will cover key topics such as how to perform security screening of person with walk-through metal detectors (WTMD), and hand-held metal detectors (HHMD), how to conduct manual screening (pat-down) of person and how to conduct manual bag search. This module is useful for security officers who wish to take on access control duties on sites and at events.

  • Perform security screening of person with walk-through and hand-held metal detectors
  • Conduct manual screening (pat-down) of person

For whom
Security Officers, Security Supervisors, Senior Security Officers, Security Screening Officers

Entry Requirements

  • Security officers with a license from Police Licencing and Regulatory Department with 6-months security industry experience; or
  • Primary School Leaving Certificate (PSLE) or equivalent; or
  • At least 3 WSQ Statements of Attainment in Workplace Literacy or Numeracy (WPLN) at Level 1 or 2 (eg under ESS, ESS)

*Those that do not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance.

2 days (16 training hours) 0900hrs to 1800hrs daily
Summative Assessment by POLWEL – 3rd day (2 hours)
